The Anderson's Report from February 2010
GIVE THANKS WITH US FOR PROGRESS
A CONTAINER FROM SWITZERLAND ARRIVED WITH MANY NEEDED SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT. IT WAS LIKE A MEDICAL CHRISTMAS GIFT CELEBRATION. ...
THE GENERATOR HOUSE IS COMPLETED AND THE NEW LARGE GENERATOR IN PLACE. THE ELECTRICAL WIRES AND SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION WERE RELEASED FROM CUSTOMS AND DELIVERED TO THE HOSPITAL THIS PAST WEEK.
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Phil. 1:3-6
Many things have been released from customs, including blood bags and three orthopedic drills. However, 15 bags are still being located in the warehouse and hopefully released this next week. Please continue to ask the Lord to intervene with His authority.
We need an electrical team to come and connect the new generator and rewire the operating rooms.
We have been without water for two days. The old well had 30 feet of mud and burned out the pump. We need to connect the new well and clean out the old one.
Pray for the hospital chaplains. They are working hard sharing the gospel. Someone is coming to know Jesus every week. They each lead several small groups and reach out to their local churches as well.
Duane and Jackie are traveling to Kenya for a two week medical conference. Pray for safety and rest. Duane has been working 12 hour days with 8-10 surgeries a day.
We are encouraged with the progress this past month. We know God is at work as we continue to pray for His strength, protection, and leading. Thank you for the many responses last month; it meant a lot to hear from you as prayer partners.
Duane and Jackie
