At Soddo Christian Hospital, we are pleased to offer ultrasound to our patients. Ultrasound is immensely helpful. It is non-invasive, and involves no radiation. And it gives us valuable information about the patient. Is their spleen too large? Is their liver normal? If they are pregnant, how does the baby look?
One extremely helpful application for ultrasound is echocardiography. An echocardiogram is just a fancy word for an ultrasound of the heart. If we could evaluate patients’ hearts, we would be able to more correctly identify conditions that we can treat.
The good news is, our very same ultrasound machine can do this! But we need the right probe – that’s the part of the ultrasound we put on the patient’s chest. We need a cardiac probe. Usually, these are more than $10,000 USD, but the company is giving us an extreme discount, and offering it to us for just $3,500.
