Dr Ruth Droppers

Arrived at Soddo May 30, 2007....She comes from the Netherlands where she specialized in health management.

She is serving in the Outpatient department and internal section of the hospital and in a rural clinic.

Arrived at Soddo May 30, 2007...."I'm the fourth doctor and also work in the clinic, first aid, children and internal section. An Ethiopian doctor and I are heading this part of the hospital.

There is a room available for me to see patients. Fortunately a translator was found to assist me, because sometimes patients speak a language that none here can understand. Apart from Amharic (the national language) there are ten other languages."

Dr Paul Gray

A quote from their September newsletter: "we thank God for His mercy and grace...we have been here for a month...Soddo is a delighful place to live and work.  ... we are looking forward to the blessings the Lord has in store for us as we serve in Soddo. Our time with the leadership of the hospital has invigorated our anticipation of what is to come. There will certainly be challenges but we are trusting that Christ will be with us, as He has promised. Looking forward to updates from abroad!

This has been a humbling process and I suspect it will continue to be so. Given what the Bible says about humble people, I thank God for this humbling experience and pray He will mold me into the kind of man He wants me to be. Thank you all for your prayers and concern, your prayers are being heard.  http://paulandbecca.wordpress.com
