Like others serving at Soddo Christian Hospital, this teaching position is a volunteer missionary experience in Wolaita Sodo, Ethiopia. Pre-field training with an organization such as Missions Training International (MTI) is strongly encouraged. Fundraising is also encouraged to cover transportation and daily expenses. In-country living costs are low. Housing is provided on the hospital compound with other members of the teaching staff. St Luke’s Health Care Foundation has raised a support stipend to offset the requirement to raise financial support.
